Mostly good, but quality control & assembly manual need help

"My new Napoleon grill was mostly good, but there are some areas that can be improved. For example, the Assembly Manual has several major errors and omissions, and is unclear for several steps. It needs a major re-write, and needs to be specific to my exact model with only 1 front door, because most people assemble the grill with the hinge on the incorrect side (based on comments and review). Also, although my shipping box was in excellent shape, the bottom of the front door of the grill had a warped bottom that scraped when I opened or closed the door. This was due to poor manufacturing and/or quality control for that part. I ordered a replacement door online, but I had to chat with the company representative to get a special code for free shipping for the replacement part. Additionally, it took me an hour to rebuild the stand structure because it had been assembled wrong at the factory, and I had to add a stainless steel washer because one of the screws had popped through the metal during the manufacturing assembly process."

"I am very happy with this grill. Although it took some time to assemble, the instructions were straightforward and easy to follow. It is very easy to use, and igniting the burner is quick and hassle-free. The flame provides excellent heat and is more than sufficient for my cooking needs. I also appreciate the side burner, which is very convenient for preparing side dishes while grilling. The grill cooks food evenly and delivers great results every time. Cleaning is simple because both the cooking grills and the drip pan are easy to remove. There is plenty of cooking space, making it perfect for hosting a small gathering or family barbecue. The long warranty also provides added peace of mind. Overall, this is a high-quality grill that performs well, is easy to maintain, and offers excellent value. I would definitely recommend it."

Assembly horror show, zero support

"The assembly manual is pathetic. A narrated, professionally edited video is needed for every single model. I had to find a video for a different model on YouTube to supplement the assembly manual. Napoleon has their own shoddy video for a similar model, but it deviates from the manual by page 3 of 29. It may be fine if I ever get it assembled!"

Napoleon, great so far!!

"Too early to write a complete review; only have the unit for two months. Used the infrared side burner and as advertised, it heats very quickly and definitely hotter than the main grill area. The porterhouse steaks seared beautifully and quick. Stainless grates cleaned easily. The open back panel, so far, has not been a problem with weather or pest issues. Hopefully a review a year from now will be as positive as it is now."

"I really like my 425 Pro. . . except for the big hole in the rear of the stand. For the price of this unit it should be fully enclosed. This definitely effects performance on breezy days. It also allows the drippings to get blown onto my deck."
