Reviews

Excellent at Grilling, Poor Build Quality

"The cooking aspect of this grill is top tier. Cooks evenly and with minimum flare-ups. My minus three stars has to with the build quality. Now, I realize this is Napoleon's low end grill, but for the price, did expect a little better. I had mine assembled at Lowe's and it took two times to get one without dents. The final one arrived with a long rub mark that doesn't come off. That aside, the bigger issue is it leaks natural gas even when turned off. Not a lot, but you can definitely smell it at where the the gas hose connects to the burners. I took it apart and reassembled but you can still smell natural gas when the burners are all turned off. I looked and the assembly instructions are not great for Natural Gas so they these third parties don't know how to put them together correctly. As a workaround, I turn off the gas at the supply line. Probably a good habit anyway. Just annoying. If I had to do over, I'd probably go with the a "W" grill or maybe pay a little more for the Napoleon Rogue. I wish I had. Hope these insights help you make an informed decision."

Heavy duty grill

"At 100+ pounds this grill is substantial. The parts that make up this grill are heavy duty. The connecting points are threaded bolts that screw into connected inserts instead of sheet metal screws. The cast grill body will outlast every other part of the grill. The igniters work great and the grill holds heat well. so far it is a great grill."

Solid performing grill

"One of the better grills in terms of performance I've owned yet. It was relatively easy to assemble with the help of the suggested app (was a lifesaver actually), has a nice appearance, and generally performs better than I hoped. I love the dual folding tables to conserve space as well. _x000D_ _x000D_ Suggestions for improvement would be an option to have the wheels on either side to better accommodate unique placement requirements for the owner. Also would be nice if the upper rack raised/lowered based on lid movement rather than being stationary. I do use it when some food is done before others but it's so low at the back, it's virtually impossible to use the space under the rack without fully removing. It's nice that it is removable but to do so in the middle of cooking is a pain and renders the back of the grill near useless otherwise. This alone is what keeps me from giving it a 5 star rating."

Great grilling experience so far

"Assembly went very smooth. Pleased with the operation and performance so far. Only disappointment is that the natural gas model that I purchased came with a booth of the base cabinet designed to hold a propane tank. A solid bottom that would allow for storage in the cabinet would have been preferred."

I will avoid this brand from now on

"I bought this BBQ a year ago and I hate it. Bought it because of the great reviews and solid cast iron base. The first thing to go wrong was the jet light pilot system, this is the most complicated lighting system ever designed and sticks on which allows dirty yellow flames to cook and soot your food. I fixed that somewhat by cleaning the greasy propane residue from the system bit it still sticks(return springs are way to to weak). Nex was the regulator, could only get about 300f out of the grill. Replaced that with a amazon special and its better. Next is the sparker that lights the pilot that lights the main burners, it no longer sparks. I bought this at the full price and could not regret it more. Avoid this brand all together. Jet light is a joke."
